M.Sc. - Maritime Safety
On-board training is carried out by Masters and Chief Engineers. Whilst this type of training
is always company-specific, in general it includes the crews' understanding of the vessel's
fire-fighting and life saving equipment, conducting emergency drills, entry into enclosed spaces,
the emergency steering gear, English Language communications, pre-vetting inspections, issues
related to port-state control etc.
